Sediments is a site-specific artwork made for Siteworks festival at Bundanon Trust, NSW. Both digital and earthly, Sediments transforms a group of rocks on site into layered augmented reality artworks. A hand-painted map of the Shoalhaven river flows in a fragmented map, moss grows and shrinks before your eyes, and microscopic particles of sandstone sparkle in vivid colour. Fleeting and transient rather than solid and static, the rocks become expressions of the natural and human forces that shape land and life on small to large scales.
