Henrik Olesen, Project 94 at MoMA / by Anna Madeleine

This was one of the works that interested me most at MoMA. Henrik Olesen's new work is created with broken down internal computer parts displayed between sheets of perspex, along side text works and manipulated computer manuals. Two main statements appeared throughout the exhibition: "The body is a machine" and "Machines are slaves". Through combinations of "utterly personal and coolly anonymous" objects, Olesen questions the relationship between the body, machines, and systems, and the occurring transformation of 'production, re-production and self-production'.

Super similar, visually, is this work by Todd McLellan which I came across a few weeks ago...
